The Built Environment sector certainly likes winning trophies – there are 10s of award schemes to enter. There are even award schemes that celebrate companies that organise awards schemes! So, here's how to decide where to invest your efforts.
You want an awards scheme that is robust – where respect has been developed over the years and contestants can report back that ‘win or not’ they feel the experience was totally worthwhile.
"The Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards are by far the most in-depth
and thorough industry awards we have entered."

You want to have an opportunity to showcase to the judging panel, your peers and the regional network. You want to be celebrated and importantly be an inspiration to others.
Celebrate the best …… inspire the rest
Last year for the CE SECBE Awards, we created personalised blogs for all our finalists and shared them extensively on twitter. That was 94 articles. We also created 17 individualised winner videos that have received thousands of views.
Why: because our raison d'être is to make sure everyone knows why our finalists have been selected and what our winners have done to earn their awards. It's not about the biggest company or the deepest pockets – it's about the brilliant work amazing people deliver and the way it is accomplished. Watch the video
Our awards make a difference
Our sponsors play a vital role in enabling the integrity of our awards and all those who participate contribute to positive change in our sector. SECBE is a not-for-profit. We widely share the achievements of our entrants so that others can identify ideas and potential business partners, and nearly 20% of all sponsorship and ticket sales from these awards are reinvested in developing and delivering collaborative sector-improvement programmes.
