Apprentice of the month and highly commended awards for November

Apprentice on the month - Josh Alesiani

The winner of the CoTrain Apprentice of the Month for November is Josh Alesiani. Working with ISG on a Ministry of Justice project, he was nominated by Lee Pestell, Senior Site Manager.

Lee commented that because of the nature of the project that “Josh has been very thorough in his performance from managing operative numbers, recording delays and updating drawings to reflect the new packages he will be looking after. He is very proactive and enthusiastic.”

Josh has also put in place a mobile H&S board with relevant information which is moved around to each area as the operatives work.

Lee added that he felt that Josh would be working up to the level of an assistant site manager soon and would be happy to work with him long term.

Highly commended - Rebecca Ford

Rebecca Ford is an apprentice site manager, currently working with Mace Construction. Rebecca was nominated by Mark Morris, Associate Director for Construction, who noted that Rebecca had identified efficiency improvements that could be made for managing in house training.

Mark commented, "Rebecca brought the training matrix up to date for all staff members, highlighting out of date training and mandatory courses required, and recognised that it would be more time and cost efficient to have training done onsite rather than at the head offices."
